About the Role:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional member experiences and the smooth execution of daily front-of-house operations at BlakeSt. They will assist in leading and developing the front-of-house team, collaborate on private events, and cultivate a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all members. The Restaurant Manager will also play a key role in establishing and maintaining high service standards across the restaurant and bar areas. Additionally, they will manage the reservation software to optimize guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

○      Hire, onboard, and train all front-of-house service staff, with a particular focus on ensuring servers receive comprehensive training to provide excellent service.

○      Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and service levels.

○      Ensure exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction consistently.

○      Proactively address member inquiries, concerns, and feedback, utilizing service recovery techniques when necessary.

○      Collaborate with beverage management team to create memorable experiences for members.

○      Maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere in all front-of-house areas, including overseeing music levels, lighting, floral arrangements, and the overall condition of furniture and decor

○      Interact frequently with members to gauge satisfaction levels and proactively address any issues

○      Manage the reservation software, including creating and updating experiences and managing guest notes.

○      Work closely with the Events Manager to support the planning and execution of private events.

○      Coordinate front-of-house staffing and service logistics for events.

○      Collaborate to ensure seamless communication and execution between the service and events teams.

○      Maintain a thorough understanding of the establishment's policies, procedures, and standards.

○      Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including those related to alcohol service and food handling

○      Monitor and address any operational issues that may arise.

○      Develop, implement, and rigorously enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for service standards in the restaurant and bars.

○      Implement and maintain cash handling standards

○      Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests, and company assets

Qualifications:

●      Proven experience in a service management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume, full-service restaurant setting.  At least 3 years experience preferred.

●      Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

●      Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

●      Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

●      Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

●      Proficiency in reservation software and technology.

●      An eye for detail and a sense of aesthetics to create a pleasing ambiance.

●      Advanced math, reading, and computer skills
